In 1970 Steve was associated with a commercial appraisal firm in the greater Dallas/ Fort Worth area where he received a solid background in market and investment analysis. During the mid 70's, Steve was affiliated with the development division of a South Texas financial institution, and was directly responsible for the construction of multi-family projects, mobile home parks and residential subdivisions. 

As an individual investor/broker, his personal investments include build-to-suit for convenience stores, free-standing retail outlets and quick service restaurant facilities. Recruited in 1982 by Texas Commerce Bank to implement a commercial real estate lending department for their Corpus Christi Branch banking locations, Steve was promoted in 1985 to President, CEO and Director of the Texas Commerce Bank-Gulfway. After a decade in the banking industry, Steve began his entrepreneurship in commercial real estate with the outset of Steve Roberts Realty Associates

As a long time resident of Corpus Christi, Jim Villaume has been extensively involved in many facets of the real estate business, from teaching and management to brokerage and appraisal of commercial and industrial properties. Jim has earned the prestigous CCIM designation for commercial and investment property brokerage and the MAI designation for commercial and industrial property appraisal. 

Prior to affiliating with Steve Roberts Realty Associates, Jim developed and managed a commercial appraisal and environmental department for a billion dollar banking institution in Texas. Jim specializes in industrial property brokerage and brings to the commercial or industrial client relationship knowledge, integrity and quality professional service.

Larry K. Childers grew up in Corpus Christi and earned his associates degree from Del Mar College in 1974. From 1974 to 1980, vast business and restaurant experience was gained from opening, establishing and managing restaurants throughout Texas with Pelican's Wharf, Inc. In 1980 he entered the University of Texas at Austin where he received his BBA degree in Petroleum Land Management with an emphasis on Real Estate and Business Law. Larry moved to Houston in 1983 and was an Independent Oil and Gas Lease Broker, first for Mitchell Energy, and then for himself, negotiating and selling over 30,000 acres in oil and gas leases throughout the Gulf Coast Region. He received his Texas Real Estate Salesman License in 1986 and his Real Estate Broker's License two years later. In 1991 he returned to Padre Island and established a real estate and home building company. 

In January 1994, Larry joined Steve Roberts Realty Associates to concentrate on Commercial and Investment Real Estate. Their mutual commitment is to professional and personal service to all clients, and to being the most resourceful and dynamic commercial brokerage firm in the area. Larry is actively participating in the rigorous instruction demanded as a candidate for CCIM, which designation is received by only the top 1% in the industry!
